Is it the Venue?

Week after week, the Venue seems to be the place to be if you’re looking for the club scene. Many greek and entertainment organizations have been hosting parties there. The Venue, formerly known as Plaza Live, has been the hot spot for events so far this year.

 If you’re unfamiliar with the Plaza Live, it was a club located on Plank Rd. that had a bad reputation. Many acts of violence have taken place there. Changing the name from the Plaza Live to the Venue wasn’t the only change made to the club.

The Venue has better security, and a more disciplined crowd. Inside the Venue the atmosphere is content. There was a party this past Saturday at the Venue. The crowd was classy, cool, and ready for a good time.  Everyone was friendly, enjoyed the music, danced, and mingled without any problems.

 When you walked outside you heard music coming from cars. You also saw people who never came inside the club participating in “parking lot pimping.” For those who don’t know, “parking lot pimping” is when guys flirt or try to pick up women in the parking lot of the club or party.

In my opinion, the vibe outside the Venue is uncomfortable, especially for women. So guys, parking lot pimping is not hot! We will see how long the Venue will last. Reports of violence and theft have been made already. The Venue may be What’s Hot In B.R., since numerous parties are thrown there every week. But as in any party atmosphere, be aware of your surroundings. BE SAFE out there!
