What’s Hot In B.R.

The Hottest Fast Food Restaurant, That’s What

By Tamika Jett

After coming from a party or long day of work, sometimes cooking is out of the question. What is your last resort, fast food? It is unsatisfying when you get fast food and they serve you cold fries and a hamburger that tastes like it came straight out the microwave. You normally experience these problems at fast food restaurants that are known nationwide.

Well, I have some advice for you all that want a simple solution to this problem. Go to Raising Canes! Raising Canes is a fast food restaurant that started in the Baton Rouge area. One of their sayings is “Always Fresh. Never, ever frozen.” I agree with their catch phrase and I can add that the food is always hot! This is why I can agree that Cane’s is “What’s Hot In B.R.”

Cane’s is not your average fast food restaurant. There are only four combos to choose from all consisting of chicken tenders, fries, and Cane’s sauce. It is known mostly for its sauce. Cane’s sauce is the hottest thing on the menu.

Other than Cane’s good food quality, it has great customer service. Cane’s employees can make you smile on your bad day. They always greet you with a joyful and enthusiastic tone.

I spoke with one of Cane’s employees and she said that working at Cane’s is interesting and fun. They get to sing and listen to music while one the job. Cane’s employees get the day off on most holidays and take company picnics.

News flash to all fast food employers, take care of your workers and your workers will treat customer’s right!

Cane’s is appreciated by college students for staying open until 3am on weekends. College parties in Baton Rouge usually end at 2am making Cane’s convenient for those who want something to eat.

I went to Cane’s on Highland Rd. one night after LSU’s Neyo and Cherish concert. It was packed inside and outside of the restaurant and the drive thru line was long as well.  It was full of Southern and LSU students leaving the concert. Now, how hot is that? Cane’s lines are always long on a weekend, but it’s worth the wait. But, the best thing is that the food is always HOT!
