What’s Hot In B.R.

The Notorious Nu Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.

By Tamika Jett

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity celebrates 100 years this year. This prestigious fraternity was founded on December 4, 1906 at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

The Notorious Nu Psi Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has been a part of the LSU campus since 1978. They are the only African American Greek Organization to have a fraternity house on campus in Louisiana. Now, how HOT is that!

Nu Psi celebrates their fraternity’s 100 years with Alpha Week 2006. The guys are excited and ready to kick off the events planned this week.

Some events are the Miss Black and Gold Pageant, a party at the Venue with other local Alpha Chapters, and a probate that I hear, you don’t want to miss! Antonio Cousin, a member of Nu Psi since spring 2004 enthusiastically said, “The probate is going to be remarkable, one to remember!”

Sounds like the LSU Alpha probate will be the HOTTEST ever. It’s definitely What’s Hot in B.R. this week. So, make sure you are at the Greek Amphitheatre December 1 at 9:06p.m. to see it. More information on Alpha Week events are below.
